CHALLENGE: The Central Ohio community, while excited about the massive investment by Intel to build computer chip manufacturing plants, needed more information about the game-changing impact the development would have on the region.
SOLUTION: R.S. Rock Media hosted a public educational event called Prepare to Prosper at the Estate of New Albany on March 2, 2023, which was sponsored by SiliconHeartland.com. It featured nine speakers affiliated with Google, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, local chambers and more. Our own deep research provided highly sought-after content used during the bus tour segment of that event. Email us here if you’d like more information.
CHALLENGE: Higher education and nonprofit leaders wanted to build their audience and produce content to share their innovative views.
SOLUTION: R.S. Rock Media worked with one college president to grow his LinkedIn targeted audience from 1,600 connections to more than 5,000 and helped him post weekly content to discuss the key issues in higher education. His posts resulted in requests to speak at conferences, on podcasts and in other forums. We put a strategy in place for the CEO of an economic development group who had three LinkedIn connections for his communications team to build on. His audience grew rapidly behind a more consistent posting schedule. We worked with another college president to help shape a longform magazine article on his ways to radically change higher education. Email us here if you’d like more information.
CHALLENGE: An international nonprofit in the healthcare arena needed more than 1,500 pages of educational material translated into clear Global English.
SOLUTION: We put together a team of four editors who created clear and concise language for each of the educational modules involved. Within a three-month span, the entire project had been edited, rewritten and proofread to better suit the needs of this international organization. The internal and external management of this project, as well as a definitive timeline that was created in the beginning, allowed the project to finish on deadline with ongoing project management provided by R.S. Rock and continued communication with the client. Email us here if you’d like more information.
CHALLENGE: A small business owner wanted to update the company's brand to better compete in a high-tech environment.
SOLUTION: Over the course of one year, this business owner's three websites were updated and upgraded by R.S. Rock to better accommodate the current business environment. The project involved updated visuals for many of the firm's projects as well as bios for the entire team. Once the website project was completed, the firm worked with R.S. Rock to position its owner as a Thought Leader in his industry and in his economic region. This resulted in increased revenue and a higher profile for the client's businesses. Strategic messaging using innovative techniques, such as audiograms, contributed to this program. Email us here if you’d like more information.
CHALLENGE: A small, privately owned hospital needed to create a strategic marketing campaign to strengthen its brand.
SOLUTION: We led the hospital's marketing efforts for three years using community-based marketing techniques, creating media relations campaigns, educating medical staff about social media and implementing a scholarship competition at local high schools. In 2012, the physician-owned hospital sold for $26 million. Email us here if you’d like more information.
CHALLENGE: The National Inventors Hall of Fame Camp and Club Invention programs needed to share its success stories across the United States.
Solution: Sherry Beck Paprocki and her team launched national media campaigns that resulted in nearly 300 articles published per year and television coverage in major metro areas throughout the United States. We also provided training and media release templates to local Camp Invention coordinators. In this piece with American Chemical Society magazine, Paprocki in her role as media spokesperson is quoted. She also co-authored an article in Principal magazine with school principal Scott Emery. CHALLENGE: Two clients needed new content strategies to share information with their target audiences about significant parts of their operations. The clients were an international business association and a major hospital system.
SOLUTION: For the business association, we injected new energy into a well-established awards program by producing custom content focused on previous winners—and the impact the recognition had on their businesses. Our interviews resulted in profiles, audio clips, a social media campaign and a virtual panel discussion. For the hospital system, we worked with its communications department to conceive and execute two custom publications highlighting their innovative outreach to underserved communities. We also negotiated the deal to include those publications in a prominent city magazine that spread the word to potential donors. Email us here if you’d like more information.
CHALLENGE: The American Society of Journalists and Authors received a grant to illuminate the numerous challenges of those who face the question of gender identity.
SOLUTION: "Gender Identity and Mental Health: What's the cost?" was conceived and overseen by Sherry Beck Paprocki, who was serving as ASJA's president at the time. Here's a Q&A in which Sherry addresses the project. The final report included more than 25 major media outlets that published articles about the topic. This piece about Dr. Scott Liebowitz appeared in Columbus Monthly as part of that project. Each writer involved in the project produced a print article and provided social media amplification for that article. The funder for this project was the National Institutes of Health Care Management, which continues to provide some of the ongoing programs around this topic. CHALLENGE: A small business wanted to amplify its brand’s story on a new website that was easy to access via mobile.
SOLUTION: R.S. Rock Media used its significant experience in strategic communications to assist this client with creating a simplified website that could demonstrate its prowess, as well as provide fresh thoughts via its blog. The company used this site to amplify its brand through various online social media channels. Brand amplification equals bigger sales.
